位於美國加州的Ontario Mills購物中心周五因內部發生多起火災而被迫關閉，當局已逮捕一名涉案男子。

安大略消防局表示，消防人員在當天上午約10點30分接到火警通報。首批到場的消防隊發現，在同一片區域的多家商店內出現了多處起火點，情況十分可疑。這些火點隨後全部被撲滅。

警方指出，現場接獲多起報案稱，有一名男子在商場內縱火。執勤警員很快在其中一家店鋪內鎖定嫌疑人，並將其拘捕。該男子被確認是28歲的路易斯·哈維爾·加列戈斯（Luis Javier Gallegos）。

現場畫面顯示，其中一家店鋪（True Religion）內部曾出現明火。消防部門在中午前控制住火勢，所幸事件未造成人員傷亡。

當局強調，目前商場已無持續威脅，但仍要求民眾暫時遠離該區域。購物中心將關閉，直到進一步通知。

調查人員表示，這起連環縱火案的具體動機仍在調查中，同時也確認，該事件與幾天前附近倉庫發生的大規模縱火案暫無關聯。
